Our Farm

Our homestead is located on 17.5 acres in Clarke County, VA. just outside of Berryville. It is located at the Northern end of the beautiful Shenandoah valley.

At the center of the farm is the farmhouse. While updated, the original house dates back to 1922.
Our Story
Local Family Farm
Our journey to farming started in late 2020 when we bought our homestead just outside of Berryville, VA. Now retired from IT contracting, I, with my lovely wife, a native from Brazil, work our 1-acre market garden along with all the other things that need attention on a small farm.

We cultivate a variety of vegetables, from root vegetables, like carrots and radishes, to leafy greens including arugula, spinach, and buttercrunch.

We believe in sustainable, regenerative farm methods, therefore we are no-till, however we may till the first time to breakup the hard compacted clay soil and work in the first application of compost. The goal is to disturb the biology in the soil as little as possible. We therefore avoid synthetic chemicals, both herbicides and fertilizers, and rely on natural inputs of compost and amendments to the soil.
